Information gathering with respect to certain substances under the Chemicals Management Plan
The Government of Canada is collecting information for the purpose of prioritization, risk assessment, and risk management. Information will be gathered on the commercial status, facility information (for example, releases), and uses of these substances in Canada, pursuant to the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (CEPA 1999).
Section 71 Chemicals Management Plan 2023
In June 2023, a notice was issued in the Canada Gazette, Part I: Vol. 157, No. 25 - June 24, 2023 under section 71 of CEPA 1999. This notice applies to 850 substances.

Foreign supplier letter
If you require information from your foreign suppliers in order to respond to the notice, you may download the letter for foreign suppliers to include in your communications with them. The letter is also available upon request by contacting the Substances Management Information Line.
