This guideline technical document evaluated the available information on microbiological pathogens and biological hazards in recreational waters. The goal of the document is to provide regulatory authorities and decision-makers with information on these topics. The purpose of this consultation is to seek comments on the proposed guidelines.

Key questions for discussion
We are looking for ideas and comments on the topic of:
- potential health risks from exposure to pathogenic microorganisms and other biological hazards associated with recreational water
We will use the input from this process to prepare and update the Guidelines for Canadian Recreational Water Quality.
