Minister Joly concludes diplomatic week in Europe and G20 meetings with visit to the United Kingdom

The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today announced that she will travel to London, United Kingdom (U.K.), for a bilateral visit from February 24 to 25, 2025.
Minister Joly will meet with David Lammy, the U.K.’s Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, to discuss shared priorities, including the implementation of the ceasefire in Gaza and Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine. Minister Joly will also meet with Jonathan Powell, the U.K.’s National Security Advisor.
During her trip, Minister Joly will highlight the strength of the friendship between Canada and the United Kingdom, including in the context of Canada’s G7 Presidency.
