Minister Joly to travel to Mexico for bilateral visit

The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today announced that she will travel to Mexico City, Mexico, for a bilateral visit from June 25 to 27.

While there, Minister Joly will meet with Juan Ramón de la Fuente, Mexico’s incoming Secretary of Foreign Affairs, and with Alicia Bárcena, current Secretary of Foreign Affairs and incoming Secretary of Environment, to discuss shared priorities. Additionally, Minister Joly will meet with Marcelo Ebrard, the incoming Secretary of Economy, to reaffirm the importance of the two countries’ strong economic ties and the trilateral North American trade and investment relationship.
