Reminder - Minister of International Development presents today a Canadian climate partnership initiative with key international partners in the context of Canada’s $5.3B climate finance commitment

February 17, 2022 - The Honourable Harjit S. Sajjan, Minister of International Development and Minister responsible for the Pacific Economic Development Agency of Canada, participates today in a panel discussion to demonstrate Canada’s commitment to climate adaptation and climate partnerships, as part of Canada’s 5-year $5.3B climate finance commitment.
The following participants will join the Minister to provide perspectives on gender-sensitive Nature-based Solutions (NbS) as a key component of global climate resiliency, specifically for sub-Saharan Africa:
· The Honourable Augusta Maita, Mozambique Minister of Sea, Inland Waters, and Fisheries, and
· Mary MacDonald, Senior VP and Chief Conservation Officer, World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Canada.
