Closed areas for shellfish harvesting on the North Shore
News release
June 1, 2020
Québec, Quebec - Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Quebec Region, wants to inform the North Shore population that the harvesting of shellfish is now forbidden due to pollution, in accordance with the prohibitions orders mentioned below, and pursuant to subsection 3 (1) of the Management of Contaminated Fisheries Regulations, in the following shellfish areas:

Pointe aux Vaches (N-01.1.2)
From Snail rock to the rochers du Saguenay
Prohibition Order: QSN-2020-026
Baie des Chevaux (N-04.1.1.1)
From the Pointe Rocheuse's lighthouse to a point west of Rivière Laval's fairway.
Prohibition Order: QSN-2020-027
Îlets Jérémie (N-04.5.2)
From a point located west of Baie des Îlets Jérémie to Pointe à Michel's navigation light.
Prohibition Order: QSN-2020-028
Pointe-aux-Outardes (west) (N-06.1.1)
From the Centre d'interprétation du Parc Nature to the east at the Fisheries and Oceans Canada marker.
Prohibition Order: QSN-2020-029
Pointe Paradis (N-06.3)
From Pointe Paradis to Père-Babel gully.
Prohibition Order: QSN-2020-030
Rivière Sheldrake (N-17.1.2)
Rivière Sheldrake's estuary, upriver from the bridge on road 138.
