Government of Canada Invests Nearly $250,000 to Improve Community Infrastructure in Thunder Bay

May 26, 2017 – Thunder Bay, ON – Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario - FedNor

The Government of Canada is investing $246,500 to support infrastructure improvements and help increase accessibility at three community assets in the Thunder Bay region. This FedNor investment will support three strategic initiatives led the City of Thunder Bay, Confederation College, and the Community Clothing Mission.

Don Rusnak, Member of Parliament for Thunder Bay—Rainy River, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for FedNor, made this announcement today at Thunder Bay’s Centennial Botanical Conservatory. The FedNor funding was provided through the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program (CIP 150) which is part of the Government of Canada’s coordinated approach to mark the 150th anniversary of Confederation.
