Big Creek National Wildlife Area: management plan

Big Creek National Wildlife Area (NWA) is in Ontario. The 770 hectare NWA is on the north shore of Lake Erie. It was established in 1977 to provide habitat for waterfowl and other birds.

This management plan provides detailed information about Big Creek NWA, including:        

• a description of the area
• its ecological resources
• the challenges and threats it faces
• habitat and wildlife management
• site access and permitted activities

This management plan pairs with protection provided for existing Aboriginal or treaty rights.
