Information gathering plan (2024 – 2025)
Information from industry is required to inform approaches and decision making for chemical substances. This information gathering plan is intended to provide stakeholders with an overview of potential upcoming mandatory information gathering initiatives (e.g., section 46 or 71 notices under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999). Current and past information gathering initiatives can be found on the Information gathering initiatives page. Information gathering initiatives are timed to inform priority setting, risk assessment and risk management activities. This plan is subject to change, as needed.
The list below refers to mandatory information gathering initiatives with the anticipated publication period for each initiative.
This plan should not be considered an exhaustive list of information gathering initiatives, as other initiatives might be needed, such as voluntary information gathering or targeted data requests.
