Climate modelling, projections and analysis
The science of climate change is highly complex and global in nature. Scientists at the Canadian Centre for Climate Modelling and Analysis (CCCma) in Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) develop and use models of the climate system to simulate and predict changes globally and regionally over various timescales. Scientists also study the interaction between the land and atmosphere to further our understanding of how the entire Earth system is changing.
Climate change impact and adaptation research in Canada is also supported through the provision of climate model and observational data.
