The 2022 to 2026 Federal Sustainable Development Strategy (FSDS) outlines the Government of Canada’s approach to achieving sustainable development in Canada. Explore the 17 FSDS goals in depth that highlight federal government actions in support of Canada's commitment to a sustainable future.
The Sustainability actions dashboard (below) is now available to provide an overview of Canada’s efforts to advance the federal sustainable development goals, focusing on the 50 targets and 157 implementation strategies found in the FSDS. This dashboard presents the departmental actions drawn directly from the 2023 to 2027 Departmental Sustainable Development Strategies (DSDSs).

- Search function
- Use the search bar located at the top-left corner to filter the entire dashboard based on keywords or short phrases such as "water", "species", "provinces" or "reduce water consumption", "species at risk", "work with provinces"
- Note: The search function is designed to filter content based on keywords found in the organizational departmental actions. Searching for specific goals, targets, or implementation strategies will not return any results
- Slicers
- Below the search bar, use the slicers to further refine your search
- By searching or selecting specific goal(s), target(s) or implementation strategy(ies), the entire dashboard will update dynamically
- To select multiple options, hold down the Ctrl key while clicking on the desired items
- To expend the slicer’s content into a larger view, click on the small icon in the top-right corner of the slicer
- "Clear all" button
- To reset your dashboard, click the "Clear all" button located at the top right of the search bar. This will remove all slicers selections, allowing you to start fresh
- Note: The "clear all" button will not reset your search. To reset your search, you must click on the "erase" icon within the search box
- Organizations and departmental actions list
- The list table displays the names of the organizations and their associated departmental actions, based on your search and selection applied
