RE: Canada Gazette, Part I, Vol. 139, No. 36 - September 3, 2005
Pursuant to section 333 of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, I am filing a notice of objection to the proposed regulations listed in the Canada Gazette, Part I, Vol. 139, No. 36, dated September 3, 2005, and I am requesting that a board of review be established. My reasons for the objection are as follows:
- The academics who believe that global warming is natural rather than human made should be given fair hearing before the new regulations are made.
- The fact that the Earth used to be in an ice age and yet the climate changed to destroy most of the ice without human interference suggests that climate change is natural.
- There are numerous published and respectable academic reports linking natural forces to global warming, including but not limited to "Solar Forcing of Climate Through Changes in Atmospheric Circulation," published by the University of Maine's Climate Change Institute.
- The fact that the United Nations’ handpicked studies say that certain substances are linked to global warming does not necessarily make it so. Non-international studies should first be observed, and Canada should conduct its own sovereign national studies to determine whether these gases actually damage the environment.
For all of the above mentioned reasons I request that a board of review be established.
Signed in Liberty,
Marty Gobin
