Government of Canada to hold a technical briefing on Canada’s pollution pricing system and affordability measures

Gatineau, Quebec – June 27, 2023 – Media representatives are advised that senior officials from the Government of Canada will hold a bilingual technical briefing on Canada’s carbon pollution pricing system, the Clean Fuel Regulations, and measures to make life more affordable for Canadians.

Beginning July 1, the federal fuel charge will take effect in Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, and New Brunswick, replacing the existing consumer pollution pricing systems currently in place.

The briefing will be on background only and is not for attribution.
