The New Horizons for Seniors Program is a federal grants and contributions program that funds projects that empower seniors in their communities and contributes to improving seniors’ health and well-being.
The Government of Canada has announced an investment of $12,075 to fund one community-based project to support seniors in Flatrock, Newfoundland and Labrador. This funding was awarded through the 2022–23 New Horizons for Seniors Program call for proposals for community-based projects.
Flatrock Walking Track – $12,075 – Town of Flatrock
Seniors involved with the organization will build a walking track to allow seniors to take part in physical activity along the proposed trail, which will support the healthy aging of the municipality’s seniors.
