Disability Inclusion Business Council
The mandate of the Disability Inclusion Business Council is to:
- incubate, design, and setup a self-governed independent business network; and
- provide the Minister of Diversity, Inclusion and Persons with Disabilities advice and recommendations on workplace inclusivity
To help drive cultural change, the Business Council is leading a call-to-action to Canada’s diverse business sectors. This will ensure that workplaces are more inclusive for persons with disabilities.
In line with the Business Council’s first mandate, the Canadian Business Disability Inclusion Network was launched on December 4, 2023. The Canadian Business Disability Inclusion Network is a national network of businesses that supports an accessible Canada for all.
The Network’s mission is to empower member organizations to adopt best practices that benefit their businesses, employees, and customers. Initial founding members of the Network include:
- Manulife Canada
- EY Canada
- TELUS Health
- IBM Canada
