Invitation to media – The Honourable Marie‑Claude Bibeau to announce Government of Canada support for Ville de Lac-Mégantic

Lac-Mégantic, Quebec, February 16, 2022 – Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

The Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, Member of Parliament for Compton–Stanstead and Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, will announce Government of Canada financial support under the Economic Recovery for Lac-Mégantic Initiative.

The city wishes to continue rebuilding and redeveloping its public areas and pursuing its green transition begun after the 2013 railway accident.

The announcement of this CED financial contribution will be made on behalf of the Honourable Pascale St-Onge, Member of Parliament for Brome–Missisquoi, Minister of Sport and Minister responsible for CED.
