Social innovation for Montréal’s east end – Call for projects

Part of the QEDP

Montréal’s East End has the assets and potential to become a leading economic and social development hub in Quebec. Recognizing this potential in Budget 2021, the Government of Canada committed to supporting economic transformation in Montréal’s East End by boosting its revitalization, appeal and sustainable reindustrialization, while also putting into place an innovative approach to economic development for this territory.

As such, CED will invest $1M in social innovation projects that will generate economic, social and environmental spin-offs for Montréal’s East End.

Organizations that have these kinds of projects or that have demonstrated roots in Montréal’s East End (see the boundaries of the targeted territory below) are invited to participate in a call for projects to receive funding from CED. Organizations located elsewhere may be considered on the condition that the project takes place within the targeted territory.
