Cadets and Junior Canadian Rangers Group Order (CJCR Gp O)

​Introduction

1. The CJCR Gp position list is one of the tools used to execute the NCJCR SP. It provides information on officer and NCM positions across the Formation.

Authority

2. The position list is reviewed annually by the N-PMB and approved by the Comd.

Authority and management

3. The position list is managed by the Fmn personnel management (PM) cell in coordination with RCSU/HQ J1s and is distributed to the chain of command for use in mentoring and advising on career progression.

Modification

4. Any request for modification, addition and/or deletion will be processed through the chain of command to the Fmn PM cell and will be included in the next annual cycle review/update.

Applicability

5. The position list applies to all COATS positions i.e. those for CICs, GSOs and GS-NCMs.

Content

6. The position list will contain the following information:

1. Position details by rank, level, and type of service; and
2. For each position;
   (1) if it is to be succession planned or not, and at which level,
   (2) the fill method,
   (3) the approving authority, and
   (4) the proposed duration of employment/period of service.

Security

7. The position list in unclassified and must be distributed widely to COATS members.

8. The position list is produced and maintain using an excel spreadsheet.
