3. JCR Code of Conduct

3.1 The CJCR and the CA are committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where all people are free from all forms of discrimination, abuse, inappropriate conduct, and damaging behaviour.

Intent

3.2 The JCR Code of Conduct communicates expectations and obligations to help ensure a safe environment for JCRs, where all JCRs will conduct themselves in a positive manner which projects a positive public perception. JCRs will adhere to all laws and applicable regulations, policies, directives, orders, and instructions.

Administration

3.3 Upon registration and annually upon return to JCR training at the patrol, JCRs must:

  1. participate in a briefing on the Code, delivered by an adult supervisor, that:
    1. provides an opportunity to ask questions of clarification; and
    2. ensures that they are engaged and aware of all behavioural expectations set out in their code of conduct;
  2. sign the Code form; and
  3. have a parent/guardian sign the Code in order to:
    1. ensure the parent/guardian is aware of all behavioural expectations outlined within the Code; and
    2. have an opportunity to ask questions of clarification.

Record Keeping

3.4 Signed copies of the Code will be retained at the JCR Patrol until the JCR reaches the age of 25.

3.5 Each JCR must be provided with a signed copy of their code of conduct.

4. JCR Appearance

4.1 JCRs must maintain a clean, neat appearance and good personal hygiene. JCRs will wear their uniform in accordance with Cadet and JCR Dress Instructions.

5. Responsibility

  • developing related policy and allocating corresponding resources (e.g., Logistik points).
CA/CRPGs
  • ordering clothing and equipment through Logistic Unicorp and CAF supply system on behalf of JCRs and AC members;
  • issuing and accounting for such clothing and equipment as required;
  • providing direction for use, care and maintenance of clothing and equipment; and
  • conducting code of conduct briefing and ensuring code of conduct forms are signed.

  • assisting CRPG staff as required.
