Contribution to the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association
The Civil Air Search and Rescue Association (CASARA) is a federally incorporated non-profit volunteer association, formed in 1986 to bring together independent aviation volunteer groups from different regions.
CASARA:
- trains volunteers to assist with Canadian Armed Forces air searches
- promotes search and rescue prevention in the aviation community through awareness and education
- maintains the national organization
National Defence supports the National Search and Rescue Program’s interest in search and rescue prevention. CASARA uses this funding for outreach to Canada’s general aviation population.
