Media are invited to the No.2 Construction Battalion National Apology Event in Truro, Nova Scotia.

Who: In attendance will be distinguished guests including: The Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of National Defence; Lieutenant General Frances Allen, Vice Chief of the Defence Staff; members of the National Apology Advisory Committee; and, relatives and descendants of members of No. 2 Construction Battalion (Canadian Expeditionary Force).

Where: Truro Amateur Athletics Club Grounds, 57 Golf Street, Truro, Nova Scotia.

When: Saturday, July 9, 2022, 12 p.m. Atlantic Standard Time (11 a.m. EST).

What: No. 2 Construction Battalion National Apology Event. A live broadcast pool will be provided by Eastlink.

Media planning to attend are asked to RSVP and provide accreditation no later than Friday, July 8,2022 to Capt Michelle Noseworthy, 5th Canadian Division Public Affairs Officer, Cell: 506-470-9336 (Michelle.Noseworthy@forces.gc.ca). Media are asked to arrive at the location no later than 11:45 a.m. Atlantic Standard Time.

Media availability with distinguished guests will be confirmed upon arrival.

Media parking available at 344 Prince Street, Truro (Chow Family Restaurant).

Access to stage and surrounding area is restricted, so a video pool feed will be made available to all media through Eastlink. Media pool feeds will be provided by Eastlink Community Channel in the media tent.

Audio only – analogue program audio feed (stereo) on XLR connectors.
Video – Clean 1080i, 59.94 SDI/w embedded program audio on channels 1 and 2 on a BNC connector.
