Minister Sajjan launches Canadian Armed Forces initiative to improve the transition of military members and their families
News release
June 27, 2018 – Toronto – National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces
The Department of National Defence (DND) has begun a discussion with the provinces and territories to improve the coordination of services across the country, and the relocation process for Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members and their families.
Throughout their careers, CAF members and their families are required to relocate to bases and wings across the country. The Seamless Canada meeting is the first step in opening lines of communication and laying the groundwork for cooperation between DND, CAF, provinces and territories. The purpose of this meeting was to increase governments awareness of issues specific to CAF members and their families in order to establish the conditions to improve the transition of military families between provinces and territories.
