Canadian Special Operations Forces Command change of command ceremony

April 23, 2018 – Ottawa – National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces

Major-General Peter Dawe will assume command of Canadian Special Operations Forces Command (CANSOFCOM) from Major-General Mike Rouleau in a ceremony presided over by General Jonathan Vance, Chief of the Defence Staff, in Ottawa on April 25, 2018.

When: April 25, 2018, at 11 a.m.

Where: Cartier Square Drill Hall, 2 Queen Elizabeth Drive, Ottawa (Located on the bank of the Rideau Canal just south of Laurier Avenue)

What: CANSOFCOM Change of Command from Maj.-Gen. Mike Rouleau to Maj.-Gen. Peter Dawe

Media representatives are asked to arrive no later than 10:30 a.m. and enter via the Cartier Square Drill Hall north-east entrance facing the Rideau Canal.

Media are asked to confirm attendance and if space for a satellite truck is required no later than 10 a.m. on April 24th by contacting Captain Jamie Donovan by phone at 613-993-4776 or by email at jamie.donovan@forces.gc.ca. Once registered, media will receive additional information on media ground rules, satellite truck parking (if required), the conduct of the ceremony, and media availability with Maj.-Gen.
