2021 Deputy Minister’s Virtual Student Event

Are you a student working at the Department of National Defence (DND)? If so, you won’t want to miss this event! 

On Wednesday, June 16, 2021 join us for the DND 2021 Deputy Minister Virtual Student Event from 12:30 to 2:30 pm EST, broadcasted live via MS Stream.

This will be an exciting and interactive opportunity to help welcome you to the department and connect you with the student community. It will focus on diversity and inclusion, building a career at DND, the future of work, and collaborating virtually for success.

You will have the opportunity to hear from:

• Deputy Minister, Jody Thomas;
• Youth Champion, Peter Hammerschmidt;
• 2020 DM Youth Award recipient, Jonathan Malcolm; and
• Past DND student and recipient of Commandant’s Commendation, Ixchel Medina Hernandez.

There will also be interactive breakout sessions with youth moderators.

This event is open to new and returning students across the country. Students should have received an invitation to their Defence 365 email address.
