A new capability for your Government of Canada issued mobile devices!

Have you ever needed to access an internal Department of National Defence (DND) intranet site, but only had your Government of Canada (GoC) issued mobile device with you? With the new Mobile Intranet Access capability, you will easily be able to access the intranet sites you use regularly, at your fingertips.

The Mobile Intranet Access capability provides Defence Team members with access to internal Defence Wide Area Network (DWAN) sites from their DND/CAF managed Android and iOS mobile devices. Accessing DWAN sites from your GoC issued mobile devices is treated the same as browsing unclassified and Protected A sites on the DWAN. This capability is available now, and has automatically been applied to issued mobile devices.

Accessing the newly available sites is simple - use your mobile device’s designated browser (in the Workspace for Android devices and Safari for iOS devices) to search for a DWAN site. It is that easy!

This capability will enable a more mobile and agile workforce. The Mobile Intranet Access capability facilitates Defence Team members’ needs to access critical information and tools found only on the DWAN.
