DND/CAF Information Assurance (IA) Symposium 2020

September 17, 2020 - Defence Stories

The annual DND/CAF Information (IA) Symposium will take place virtually from the 21 September to 2 October 2020.

“What does empowering the Information Security Community mean?”

Those who work in the Security sector know that the work of keeping Information, Data, and Physical Technology secure doesn’t happen automatically. It takes the hard work and diligence of each and every professional involved in the security process to manage the ever-evolving threats to our technological landscape. Be it in AI, data analytics, physical assets, cloud-based services, there is a trained and aware professional who maintains the security and integrity of our services.

The DND/CAF IA Symposium is an opportunity for military and civilian information technology and information security practitioners to take the time and space to engage with their peers and their community, even if it’s only a virtual space. It strengthens the community by offering access to premier keynote speakers and Tech-Talk presenters, but it’s also an opportunity to connect, network, share and learn.

The DND/CAF IA Symposium 2020 will also be offering two weeks of certified training specifically tailored to those who attend the Symposium, sharing cyber security best practices and personal experiences throughout the week.

Registration is now open! Registration is required in advance and places are reserved on a first-come, first served basis.
