Tools for the Defence Team to support Business Resumption

June 30, 2020 - Defence Stories

Business resumption continues to move forward at different rates across the Defence Team.

A return to work scenario, whether physically working on-site or working remotely, will not be a one-size-fits-all solution for an organization as varied and complex as Defence. Implementation will vary from one respective area, region, and team to the next.

To help support the Defence Team through this ongoing transition, you are encouraged to familiarize yourself with the tools and resources that have been developed. If you are a Supervisor guiding staff or responsible for communicating about business resumption plan implementation, take a moment to consult the resources posted online at the Defence Team Resuming Work page. This comprehensive page includes a Supervisors’ Toolkit, a Communications Toolkit, Resuming Work FAQs, and an Ask Anything – COVID-19 inbox, and official guidance. Please remember that the most effective communication method is having an honest conversation with management and/or the Chain of Command, given the unique and complex nature of this process.

For more information, be sure to visit the Joint CDS/DM Directive for the Resumption of Activities, the May 22: Update from the Deputy Minister Jody Thomas on Business Resumption Planning, and the Defence Team: COVID-19 page.
