MOSID 00165 - Steward (STWD)
General Duties:
COOK and STWD shall perform duties related to standing, lifting, loading/unloading, and carrying raw provisions and prepared rations during operations under the full range of climatic and sea conditions involving lifting, carrying, setting-up cooking equipment. Stores involved include:
- burner units,
- stove cabinets,
- propane tanks,
- modular tenting,
- tables,
- steamtable inserts,
- commercial size mixing bowls,
- roasting pans and
- bags of garbage.
Stores are usually packaged in crates, bags, boxes and drums weighing up to 25 Kg. Materiel Handling Equipment is limited at sea and in the field requiring manual lifting, loading and carrying.
