March 20, 2023 - Western Sentinel

On March 15, the first of three Leopard 2A4 tanks from 3rd Canadian Division departed Edmonton, bound for Poland in support of Ukraine.

The three Leopards are in addition to the four Leopards Canada sent to Europe over the past month. A fourth Leopard being sent to Europe will be provided by units in Eastern Canada. Eastern Canada will also be providing one armoured recovery vehicle (ARV) to support the Leopards bound for Ukraine.

These tanks will be used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in their tireless effort to defend their homeland.

The remaining two Leopards from 3rd Canadian Division are expected to be sent to Poland in the coming weeks.
