So, you can benefit from a wide variety of classes, programs, services that we’re offering over 7 locations in the NCR. If you have any medical conditions or any injuries, we also do have physical exercise specialists that can work with you in a virtual or in-person setting as well. For our sports program, we can participate in over 15 sports at an intra and extramural level.

You can have hockey, slowpitch, ball hockey, golf, triathlon and so many more sports. Our sports teams can also help you organize a unit event or even a sports day, so they can help with the warmup, organizing the event, reffing, or just simply assisting for your needs. So, if you have any more questions, you can go to our CFMWS website to gather more information on our programs and services. To register for our classes, you can go directly to our registration website on psp.mil.ca (Accessible only on the National Defence network) to go and get your one-on-one programming right away or join any of our classes.

Maj Anny Fredette/Directorate of Women’s & Diversity Health

Good day, I am Major Anny Fredette and I am part of the Women’s & Diversity Health which is a new Directorate within the Canadian Forces Health Services. Shifting awareness of research and program inequities have raised an important opportunity to enhance or supplement Canadian Forces Health Services (CFHS) health care and support to women and diverse members.

In addition to investing in research, education and engagement is a big part of our plan to increase equity in healthcare for these military sub-populations.

We have provided updated medical guidance to our practitioners for the treatment of several medical conditions, such osteoporosis, obesity, and pain management during IUD insertion, so that you as the member can feel confident that your healthcare provider is delivering the best care possible.

We are developing an extensive CAF Women's Health and Wellness Guide: A Resource for Members and Leaders that will provide you with comprehensive guidance to your own health and how it interacts with your military career.

As October is International Menopause Awareness Month, we’re helping to dispel the taboo that still surrounds this wellness issue by creating 24 educational videos that are available to you on our website. More videos and topics will follow.

As members of the CAF, each one of us will benefit from the creation of a National CAF Cancer Screening program, as well as the investment in additional primary care clinicians and Clerks for each CAF Health Services Clinic.

To learn more about the initiatives underway by Women’s & Diversity Health and to watch our Menopause Videos, please visit our internal website below.

At the Corporate Awards and Recognition Secretariat, we're dedicated to creating a workplace where every success story, no matter how big or small, receives the recognition it deserves within National Defence. Our mission is clear: to harness the transformative power of Awards and Recognition in nurturing employee well-being.

Through our programs such as the Celebrating Excellence Awards, Deputy Minister Commendations, Long Service Awards, and Virtual Shout Outs, we ensure that every accomplishment and milestone is celebrated with sincerity and enthusiasm. We understand that acknowledging employee contributions not only boosts morale but also cultivates a culture where appreciation and motivation thrive.

Research consistently shows that employees who feel valued are more engaged, satisfied, and committed. That's why we're passionate about ensuring that every member of the Defence Team feels recognized and appreciated for their dedication and hard work.

But we don't stop there. We go the extra mile by empowering nominators with the tools and guidance needed to craft exceptional nominations for both corporate and external awards programs.
