Judith Athaide

Judith Athaide is a certified corporate director, professional engineer, entrepreneur and energy sector professional.

Ms. Athaide is the President and CEO of The Cogent Group Inc., and a Corporate Director. Ms. Athaide held a variety of senior commercial and technical roles in the energy industry, including Vice President, Bow Engineering and Project Execution of EnCana Leasehold Limited Partnership from 2006 to 2009, as well as academic positions at the University of Alberta, Brandon University, University of Calgary, and Mount Royal College.

She currently serves on several boards including Sustainable Development Technology Canada, HSBC Bank Canada, Kiwetinohk Energy, CMG Ltd., TriSummit Utilities, and New Brunswick Power.

Ms. Athaide holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Manitoba, and a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta. She has been awarded the designation of ICD.D by the Institute of Corporate Directors.
