Partners in Prosperity: Minister Morneau Talks Middle Class Jobs in Washington, D.C.

Canada and the United States have built one of the most productive, interconnected and enduring economic relationships in the world—one that has led to shared prosperity and a better quality of life for middle class families in both countries.
Canada's Minister of Finance, Bill Morneau, spoke of the strong Canada-U.S. relationship today at Washington, D.C.'s Georgetown University.
The Minister highlighted that 9 million American jobs depend on trade and investment with Canada, and spoke of the balanced and tightly knit economic and trade ties between the two countries.
He added that it is in the interest of both countries to continue working together to achieve the shared goals of creating well-paying jobs and improving the living standards of the middle class and those working to join it, on both sides of the border.
Minister Morneau also discussed the importance of the Canada-U.S. economic partnership with senior White House economic advisors and Congressional Leaders.
