Death of an inmate from Bath Institution

June 3, 2024 – Kingston, Ontario – Correctional Service Canada

On May 31, 2024, Dwight Creelman, an inmate from Bath Institution, died while in our custody.

At the time of death, the inmate had been serving an indeterminate sentence, which commenced on June 19, 1985, for second degree murder, aggravated sexual assault, possession of narcotics and possession of restricted drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

The inmate’s next of kin have been notified.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) will review the circumstances. CSC policy requires that the police and the coroner be notified.
