Warkworth Institution

Warkworth Institution is located 10 minutes south of Campbellford, Ontario, 20 minutes north of the 401 (Brighton exit) and approximately 172 kilometres from Toronto, Ontario.

Construction of Warkworth Institution, a medium-security facility, began on March 26, 1965. In the early 1990s several renovations resulted in an expansion of Warkworth Institution’s inmate capacity.

Warkworth Institution is a standalone medium security with direct cell observation ranges. Based on the design features, Warkworth Institution is a sister institution to Springhill Institution, Cowansville Institution and Drumheller Institution.
