Community Cultural Action Fund — Development of Official Language Communities
The Community Cultural Action Fund subcomponent supports and strengthens the cultural, artistic and heritage expressions of official language minority communities. Funding is typically provided to organizations in the form of contributions or grants.
Who can apply
Eligible organizations include:
- Canadian not-for-profit institutions and organizations
- provincial and territorial government organizations
Eligible expenditures
Eligible expenditures include, but are not limited to:
- implementation costs to help ensure the long-term development of official language minority communities in the area of arts, culture and heritage
The following expenditures are not eligible:
- capital projects
- operation of organizations
- regular coordination
- networking and strategic planning
- needs analyses and research
- professional training
- activities with an international scope

When an application deadline falls on a Saturday, Sunday or statutory holiday, it is extended to the following working day.
How to apply
For a project funding application at the national level
Applicants are required to:
- review the Application Guidelines
- complete and sign the Application form — Official Languages Support Programs (PDF format) for the Community Cultural Action Fund subcomponent and submit the required documentation
To apply for project funding at the national level, please submit your complete funding application package by email to dglo-olsp@pch.gc.ca.
For a regional project funding application
Applicants are required to:
- review the Application Guidelines
A two-step process
Step 1
- Contact your respective regional office to request a Letter of Intent form
- Complete and submit the Letter of Intent form by email
To apply for project funding at a regional level, please consult the list of the regional offices of the Department of Canadian Heritage.
Step 2 (only for project proposals that are retained)
- Complete and sign the Application form — Official Languages Support Programs (PDF format) for the Community Cultural Action Fund subcomponent and submit the required documentation
