In the interest of increasing transparency related to the certification of audio-visual productions under the Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit (CPTC) program, the Canadian Audio-Visual Certification Office (CAVCO) will be publishing a list of all productions that have received a CPTC certificate since the program's inception. Both the production titles and the applicant companies names will be published.

On September 21, 2018, CAVCO will publish two lists:

  1. a static list of part A and B certified productions, from the program's inception in 1995 to the implementation of CAVCO's online application system in 2010, and
  2. a list of productions that were at least Part A certified since the implementation of CAVCO's online application system. This list will be updated approximately every six months. Every update to the list will add newly certified productions and remove revoked productions.

This information will be available within the Government of Canada’s Open data portal, at https://open.canada.ca/data/en/dataset/43a63c4f-b08e-4c53-99bb-20b90b83c6c0.

Note that, pursuant to the Income Tax Act (the “Act”), information collected through the CPTC program is taxpayer information (renseignements confidentiels) and there are strict limits on what can be disclosed. Therefore, CAVCO will not provide any additional information about productions beyond titles and production companies, which are permitted under the Act.
