Santiago 2023 Pan American and Parapan American Games
The Santiago 2023 Pan American and Parapan American Games are important for many Canadian athletes as many events are qualifiers for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Nearly 500 Canadian athletes will represent the country at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games and close to 150 at the Parapan American Games. As they showcase determination and perseverance, they will make the whole country proud and inspire our youth to believe in their dreams and make them come true.
Through Sport Canada funding programs, Canadians contribute to the preparation, participation and celebration of our country’s high-performance athletes. In fact, the Government of Canada, through Sport Canada, is the single largest investor in Canada's amateur sport system.
