Minister David McGuinty will participate in an Induction Ceremony for new border services officers and visit the Canine Center of Expertise at the CBSA College in Rigaud

Members of the media are invited to join the Honourable David McGuinty, Minister of Public Safety, at the Canada Border Services Agency College in Rigaud to attend an Induction Ceremony for new border services officers and visit the Canine Center of Expertise (CCE). The CCE is where all the detector dog teams in the country are trained. A detector dog seizure demonstration will also be held.

Minister McGuinty will be available to answer questions from the media during the event and photos and video will also be permitted.

Date: February 14, 2025

Time: From 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (ceremony to begin at 9 a.m.)

Place: 475 Chem. de la Grande-Ligne, Rigaud, QC. J0P 1P0

  • Please note that seating is limited. Media representatives who wish to attend the event must register with the CBSA by emailing media@cbsa-asfc.gc.ca before the end of the day on February 13, 2025.
  • Visitors are requested to park their vehicle in parking lot P3, located after the gatehouse, at the top of the hill.
