August 29, 2022 · Moncton, New Brunswick · Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA)

Atlantic Canada’s small and medium-sized businesses that provide products and services to offshore energy developers and producers, and energy consumers are essential to the region’s economy. Helping these businesses contribute to a more resilient, diversified, and inclusive economic recovery is a priority of the Government of Canada and the four Atlantic provinces and is key to creating jobs and generating growth.

Today, the Honourable Ginette Petitpas Taylor, Minister of Official Languages and Minister responsible for ACOA, wished success to the Atlantic Canadian delegation attending the Offshore Northern Seas Conference and Exhibition 2022 (ONS 2022) in Stavanger, Norway, from August 29 to September 1.

The group of 23 Atlantic Canadian companies, researchers and organizations will showcase their products, services, expertise and capabilities to the international offshore energy industry. They will also contribute to conversations about renewable energy sources, clean technology and trends in oil and gas, while building networks with high-profile decision-makers and influencers from over 100 countries. Their involvement will build global business connections, bolstering Atlantic Canada’s economy.

By supporting Canada’s energy innovation exporters and researchers on the global stage, the Government of Canada continues to champion Canadian entrepreneurs, companies, and organizations of all sizes, helping them scale up and reach new markets around the world.

The delegation’s participation supports the Trade and Investment priority of the Atlantic Growth Strategy, which coordinates federal and provincial government resources and activities to support Atlantic Canadian companies looking to grow by selling their products and services in markets around the world.
