Close Engagement: Land Power in an Age of Uncertainty

Uncertainty, volatility and lethality are enduring characteristics of the security environment, within which Canadian land forces are expected, and will continue, to perform a broad spectrum of operations in support of Government of Canada objectives.

To prepare for that uncertainty, the Canadian Army (CA) has studied and analyzed potential future trends and their effects upon the security environment and, consequently, the likely operations therein, drawing out the most important implications for force design.
