3e Battalion, Royal 22e Régiment

3^e Battalion, Royal 22^e Régiment (3 R22^eR), is a light infantry battalion that generates forces capable of operating in complex environments in order to carry out the various mandates with which it is entrusted. At the operational and strategic level, members of 3 R22^eR are able to deploy rapidly as a result of their high level of training.

The unit is in charge of maintaining airborne capabilities, and it also develops Canadian amphibious capabilities and is able to use any platform at its disposal to insert itself into its area of operations. 3^e Battalion is a combative, cohesive unit that can operate along a coastline, in an urban environment, in mountainous areas, in the jungle and under arctic conditions.
