The Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018
The Olympic (February 9 to 25, 2018) and Paralympic (March 9 to 18, 2018) Games are the pinnacle of sport excellence. With an international audience and coverage that extends to all types of media, the visibility and significance of the Games encourage all Canadians at home and abroad to rally behind our athletes and demonstrate national pride.
Through Sport Canada funding programs, Canadians contribute to the preparation, participation, and celebration of our country’s high-performance athletes. In fact, the Government of Canada is the largest single contributor to sport in Canada providing the community with approximately $200 million in funding annually.
