Hi everyone. I'm Paul Thompson. Happy National Public Service Week to all of you across the public service. I'm very proud to say that together we raised almost $29M through the Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign last year. That is awesome! So my thanks to everyone who contributed, those who volunteered their time, shared their ideas, helped with events, promoted the campaign within their networks. All of this was done in the spirit of giving back. So I'm really excited to be the national chair this year. Your contributions through the Campaign help Canadians across the country get the services, the programs and the supports that they need wherever they live. And that is remarkable. Without your efforts and your generosity, there would be no Campaign. The 2024 GCWCC is launching this September, and I can't wait to engage with you and be inspired by your creativity and your energy. See you all at the launch on September 5th!

Happy National Public Service Week. $28.9M! Wow, what an amazing campaign last year! You all set the bar so, so high. I look forward to working with Paul and all of you to raise the bar even higher in Campaign 2024. A huge thanks to everyone for your time, your efforts, and your donations to the Campaign. Your generous contributions make a huge impact on our communities from coast to coast to coast. I can't wait to get this campaign started. Together, we can make a difference while having some fun with campaign activities and events. Let's just do this!
