What we’ve done
We’ve welcomed over 40,000 vulnerable Afghans, including some of the most vulnerable, through several special measures and programs.
What happens now
We’re not accepting any more applications for special measures.
We’ll continue to process the existing applications we’ve received through all the special programs for Afghans on a priority basis.
How to contact us
The options to contact us have changed. If you need to contact us directly or update your information, use the crisis situation web form or call us at 1-888-242-2100 (if you’re in Canada).
If you didn’t receive an invitation to apply (ITA) from us
We’ll continue to help vulnerable Afghans through:
- our regular immigration programs, such as economic, family reunification and refugee resettlement programs
- other options and pathways, such as the Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot.
