Ukraine immigration measures: Financial assistance has ended
The one-time financial assistance benefit has ended. The last day to apply was June 30, 2024.
If you submitted an application on or before June 30, 2024, we’ll process it.

If you submitted an application before the deadline
We’ll process your application if it was successfully submitted.
If you followed the instructions to apply, you would have gotten
- a confirmation screen telling you your application was submitted
- a confirmation number on the confirmation screen
- Keep your confirmation number for your records.
If your personal or banking information changed after you applied
You can’t update your information after you applied. If there’s a problem with your banking information, we’ll contact you.
How payments will be deposited
Payment will be made by direct deposit from Service Canada and is expected to take up to 5 business days. Your bank may take another 3 to 5 days to show the deposit in your account.
Due to a recent increase in applications, it may take longer to process some applications. If you don’t receive payment after 15 business days, you can contact us at the number below.
Adults (18 years and older)
If your application is approved, the payment will be deposited in your bank account.
Minors (17 years and under)
If your application is approved, the payment will be deposited in your parent’s or legal guardian’s bank account.
How much can you expect to receive
- CAN$3,000 for each adult (18 or older)
- CAN$1,500 for each child (17 and under)
If you have problems with your payment

- haven’t received any money after 15 business days
- didn’t receive the right amount
- need help with the application
