Ministers Lametti, Hajdu and Qualtrough to make announcement

Media advisory

The Honourable David Lametti, P.C., Q.C., Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, the Honourable Patty Hajdu P.C., Minister of Health, and the Honourable Carla Qualtrough, P.C., Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Disability Inclusion, will make an announcement regarding a Bill entitled “An Act to amend the Criminal Code (medical assistance in dying)”.

Officials from Justice Canada, Health Canada and Employment and Social Development Canada will hold a technical briefing before the press conference.

Embargoed documentation will be provided after the Bill is introduced in the House of Commons, prior to the technical briefing with departmental officials.
