Creative Export Canada

The Creative Export Canada (CEC) program, which is part of the Creative Export Strategy, provides visibility and funding to help Canadian creative works achieve financial success abroad.

CEC aims to heighten exposure of Canadian creative works in international markets and to increase export profitability for Canada’s creative industries. The CEC program’s total funding envelope is $33 million over three years ($11 million per year, from 2023-2024 to 2025-2026). The $11 million per year is divided into two funding streams: the Export-Ready Stream and the Export Development Stream.

Export-Ready Stream

The Export-Ready Stream provides $7 million in funding per year to support export-ready projects that are expected to generate export revenues and help Canadian creative industries reach more people around the world.

The period for submitting a funding application for projects with expenses between April 1, 2024 and March 31, 2025 is closed. The next application period will be launched in winter 2025 (launch and deadline dates to be confirmed) for projects with expenses between April 1, 2025 and March 31, 2026.
